About the Valley of Science and Technology
The valley seeks to help in setting research priorities within the city and motivating its professors, researchers and students to work to find innovative local solutions, and apply them in a manner beneficial to society and industry as a whole.
VST Vision
To transform Zewail City into one of the world’s influential players in community-oriented and market-driven research and development, and into a major hub for local and global collaboration between industry and academia.
Vst Mission
The VST works on offering help to define the research priorities in Zewail City, and motivate its professors, researchers, and students to work on finding local innovative solutions and to transfer them in an applicable useful way to the whole society.
This is done by either establishing startups or joining the forces of the industrial entities and companies, and licencing technology after carrying out studies, and other procedures to protect the research product appropriately (patent, industrial model, trademark, copyrights, ...etc) by taking into consideration the SDGs and their three main domains: society, environment, and economy.
