About Student Wellness and Mental Health Unit:

At ZC we believe that good mental health is the cornerstone of personal, academic, and career success. As such, the Student Wellness Unit offers students a safe and supportive environment to deal with psychological, emotional, behavioral and cognitive problems and raise awareness of mental health issues, promoting healthy lifestyles, resilience, and a sense of belonging for every student. 

The experienced and professional staff members of the wellness unit are there to provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment for the students to discuss their concerns and seek guidance, and continuously work to raise their awareness and promote a highly empathy impact through the difficulties that some students may face among the ZC community. 

Our Service and Activities:

The Student Wellness and Mental health Unit is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of students. Through high quality mental health services and programs that support students’ ability to benefit from their experience at the ZC, such as: 

  • One to one sessions (Individual).
  • Group Counseling. 

Wellness unit’s professional staff provides individual and group counseling to help students with issues including not limited depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, adjustment, addiction and other challenges that can hinder students’ health and well-being. It includes preventive mental health services, crisis intervention. 

Workshops on a variety of topics:

Wellness reflects a positive state of balance between the four main domains; mind, body, spirit, and emotions. We promote this goal of wellness for the ZC community by offering educational workshops on topics including: 

  • Stress management 
  • Healthy body image 
  • Addiction awareness 
  • Emotion regulation - Distress tolerance 
  • Practical workshops such as Art expression. 
  • Psychological assessments. 
  • Online resources for student’s self-help. 

To this end, the unit helps students develop the skills and resilience that they need to thrive academically, professionally and personally.
