Two Teams from Zewail City Win First Place in the Egyptian Junior Researcher Competition
Two student teams from Zewail City’s University of Science and Technology won first place in the Junior Egyptian Researcher Competition.
The competition was organized by Nile University in collaboration with Zewail City’s TICO. In the competition, university and high school students submitted research projects to win financial prizes and support opportunities to transform their projects into startups.
The AQUA team, which consists of 4 students from the Environmental Engineering program, won first place in the biotechnology track of the competition with their project idea to solve the problem of water hyacinth.
Another team from the Renewable Energy Engineering program won first place in the engineering and applied sciences track of the competition with their project idea to fabricate wind turbine blades.
