Prof. Shaaban Khalil Appointed as the President of the Newly-established Arab Physical Society
Prof. Shaaban Khalil, the director of Zewail City’s Center for Fundamental Physics, has been selected as the founding president of the Arab Physical Society (APS).
The society was established in mid 2021 as a non-governmental and non-profit organization that aims to spread and promote physics knowledge, improve physics education, research, and human capacity building in the Arab world.
The society plans to organize scientific and educational activities, support postgraduate students in the Arab world, and award prizes and recognitions to distinguished physicists.
