The silicon surface is covered with a thin layer of packed glass where the patterns are made with periodic microfluidic spacers which contribute to increasing the absorption of photons within the silicon surface. The new technology has contributed in enhancing the electrical efficiency of solar cells to a 25% more than traditional similar technologies

Doxorubicin is among the most commonly used chemotherapeutic agents for treatment of various types of tumors because of its high potency against cancer cells and its relatively low cost. However, its use for the treatment of brain tumors was not possible because of the blood brain barrier which prevents completely any hydrophilic drugs as doxorubicin from reaching the brain.
