CMS Achievements
Awards:
May 2016: Three teams of my Zewail City Students won the First and Second Place in the ICAMES International Competition held in Turkey after competing with 20 different countries from U.S., Europe, and Asia.
May 2016: CMS researcher received the Developing Countries Scholarship Award from the Society for Biomaterials to attend the 10th World Biomaterials Congress held in Canada from May 17 to 22, 2016.
May 2016: Dr. Ibrahim El-Sherbiny received appreciation certificate and medal from Mansoura University during Science Day.
December 2015: Dr. Ibrahim El-Sherbiny received the Prize of late Prof. Abdou Salam in the field of pharmaceuticals and bioproducts presented by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT).
November 2015: Dr. Ibrahim El-Sherbiny was selected among a group of top 40 European Union professors to form the new COST action committee (Simm-Inhale) that focuses on the pulmonary drug delivery’s research.
Secured Funds:
- EGP 3.00 Million (PI) for 2 Years (2016-2017) STDF-Capacity Building funded by the Science and Technology Development Fund in Egypt (STDF) for Completing the establishment of the research lab: SMART Materials for Advanced Biomedical Applications (SM-ABA). (Start Date: April 2016).
- EGP 1.00 Million (PI) for 2 Years (2016-2017) funded by Misr Al-khir Organization for the project; “Novel Biodegradable, Eco-friendly and Cost-Effective Nano- and Nano-in-Microformulations for Sustained and Controlled Release of Fertilizers and Pesticides, and for Improving Water Retention in Sandy Soil”. (Start Date: January 2016).
- EGP 3.00 Million (PI) for 18 months funded by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). Project title: “Long-Acting Cost-Effective Biodegradable Polymers Coated Urea Fertilizer”. (Start Date: late 2015).
