Zewail City Student is a Rising Hockey Star
Sama Al-Fatairi, a foundation-year student at Zewail City’s University of Science and Technology, has been passionate about hockey since childhood.
Sama joined Al-Sharqiya Sports Club Hockey team when she was eight years old and won the first-class league and the Super tournament. In 2019, Sama participated in the African Club Championship and, for the first time, Egypt won the African Championship in Hockey for ladies.
Last year, Sama and her teammates were honored by the Governor of Al-Sharkia, Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Pioneers Club. This year, Sama and her team are getting close to being qualified again for the finals of the African Club Championship to be held this February.
