Zewail City of Science, Technology, and Innovation were ranked 1st among the Egyptian Universities and 10th among the Arab universities in the inaugural 2021 Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings. The results were announced on 27 July 2021 during the Times Higher Education University Ranking Forum. Overall 155 universities across 14 countries were ranked.


The Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2021 outline the strength of higher education across the Arab region. Universities are judged based on their core missions – teaching, research, society, and international outlook providing the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available.


This remarkable achievement was the result of the hard work and dedication of our capable faculty members, research scientists, young students, all of our employees, and different administrations who all worked with a sincere team spirit to bring the dream of the founder Dr. Ahmed Zewail to reality.
