Scholarships 2023

 

Freshman Scholarships for 2023/2024:

 

  • UST awards scholarships based on academic merit.
  • Up to two students out of the top 10 Thanawya Amma students of each governorate receive full scholarships. These students keep their full scholarships for the four years of study as long as they maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.

 

School of Business & School of Computational Sciences and Artificial Intelligence - Scholarships

 

  • New students admitted to the School of Computational Sciences and Artificial Intelligence as well as new students admitted to the School of Business would be awarded scholarships for the first year of study based on high school grades. The amounts of first-year scholarships are as follows:
  • Students with high-school scores of 90% or more receive a 25% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students with high-school scores from 80% to below 90% receive a 10% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students with high-school scores below 80% receive a 0% discount of the tuition fees.

 

 
 
School of Engineering - Scholarships

 

  • New students admitted to the School of Engineering would be awarded scholarships for the first year of study based on a weighted average score of high school grades and UST Admission Exam grades. A weight of 70% is assigned to the high school grades and a weight of 30% is assigned to the UST Admission Exam grades. The amounts of first-year scholarships are as follows:
  • Students with weighted average scores of 90% or more receive a 35% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students with weighted average scores from 80% to below 90% receive a 25% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students with weighted average scores from 75% to below 80% receive a 10% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students with weighted average scores below 75% receive a 0% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students (Arab, IGCSE, IB, French Baccalaureate, Canadian Diploma, German Abitur certificates holders) with weighted average scores of 95% or above receive a 35% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students (Arab, IGCSE, IB, French Baccalaureate, Canadian Diploma, German Abitur certificates holders) with weighted average scores from 90% to below 95% receive a 25% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students (Arab, IGCSE, IB, French Baccalaureate, Canadian Diploma, German Abitur certificates holders) with weighted average scores from 85% to below 90% receive a 10% discount of the tuition fees.
  • Students (Arab, IGCSE, IB, French Baccalaureate, Canadian Diploma, German Abitur certificates holders) with weighted average scores below 85% receive a 0% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores of 100% or above receive a 35% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores from 95% to below 100% receive a 25% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores from 90% to below 95% receive a 10% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores below 90% receive a 0% discount of the tuition fees.
 
School of Science - Scholarships

  • Students with weighted average scores below 70% receive a 0% discount of the tuition fees.

  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores of 100% or above receive a 40% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores from 95% to below 100% receive a 30% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores from 90% to below 95% receive a 15% discount of the tuition fees.
  • American Diploma students with weighted average scores from 85% to below 90% receive a 5% discount of the tuition fees.

     

 

Scholarships for Returning Students:

 

  • For the second to fourth years of study, students who were originally admitted in 2023/2024 receive a full or partial discount depending on their cumulative GPA (cGPA) in each year as follows:
  • 100% discount for students who maintain a cGPA of 4.00
  • 35% discount for students with cGPA from 3.67 to less than 4.00
  • 25% discount for students with cGPA from 3.33 to less than 3.67
  • 10%   discount for students with cGPA from 3.00 to less than 3.33
  • 0% discount for students with cGPA below 3.00
