Our mission is to integrate biological knowledge from the molecular, cellular, individual and population levels and to apply this knowledge toward the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
We will achieve this by:
- providing evidence-based knowledge and engaging with the public with the purpose of exploring and promoting human health.
- We will employ curiosity-driven approaches that progress to more speculative and population-based studies, including functional genomics and systems biology.
Supported by Zewail City's existing high-profile professional expertise in the areas of chemistry, physics and spectroscopy, the Center for Genomics will ensure there is sufficient critical mass to make a significant impact on society and to attract substantial external funding.
