ARAB ACRAO Executive Committee Elects Zewail City as Venue for their 37th Annual Conference
The Arab Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Organization (ACRAO) is a non-profit organization that works on discussing the issues related to admission and registration procedures. The organization, which includes over 108 Arab member universities, aims at enhancing the process of admission at universities in the region and promote progress in the community at large.
Negotiations to hold the conference at Zewail City were initiated with the City’s founder and Nobel Laureate Ahmed Zewail, and continued with Prof. Salah Obayya, vice chair for academic affairs at Zewail City, until the recent decision was taken by the delegation.
The delegates included professors from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, Mutah University in Jordan, Kuwait University, and Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) in Egypt. Ms. Abla Osman, director of admission and registration office at the City, took the professors in a tour around the City. They visited the City’s labs, and examined some of the students’ projects, praising the state-of-the-art laboratories facilities, as well as the impressive academic level of the students.
